Clients & Therapy

What kind of therapy do you provide?  

  • We provide articulation/speech, language, voice, fluency, orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), accent modification and cognitive-communication services.

 

What ages do you work with?  

  • All ages. 

Do you offer group therapy? 

  • Yes. Social groups and group therapy is offered periodically based on interest, clinical needs, and therapist availability. 

Do you work with adults? 

  • Yes. We provide speech, language, voice, fluency, accent modification, and cognitive language support for adults. 

Are you able to provide therapy in my home? 

  • Yes. Availability for in-home therapy depends on your location, clinical needs, and therapist availability. 

Can you provide therapy at my child’s daycare or school? 

  • We may be able to provide services at your child’s daycare or school. Approval from the program is required. 

Are parents allowed to participate in their child’s session? 

  • Absolutely. Parent involvement is encouraged, especially when it helps families carry strategies over into everyday routines. 

Do you work with clients needing oral-motor therapy? 

  • Yes. We treat a range of orofacial myofunctional disorders that focus on eliminating negative oral habits, establishing proper tongue rest postures, address nasal breathing, and coordination and control of oral functions as they relate to speech, dentition, chewing, and swallowing. We take referrals from ENT’s, dentists, and orthodontists.  

Do you have therapists who speak Spanish? 

  • Yes. We have Spanish-speaking therapists available. Please contact us to learn about current availability. 

How long are the sessions? 

  • Most therapy sessions are between 30-50 minutes. The recommended length depends on the client’s age, needs, goals, attention and insurance authorization. 

What other resources are available?  

  • For children under 3 years of age, we recommend contacting Alta California  Regional Center: 

  • For children 3 years+, we recommend contacting the Special Education Department within your local school district.  

  • For services spanning all ages, we recommend contacting CSUS Maryjane Rees Center, for donation based clinical services provided by supervised graduate students:  

Payment

Do you take insurance? 

  • Yes.  We are currently in-network with select insurance plans. Some of the insurances we accept include Blue Shield of California, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, Kaiser and United Healthcare. Coverage varies, so we recommend contacting us to confirm whether we accept your specific plan. We also partner with Alta California Regional Center. 

 

Do you accept private pay? 

  • Yes. Private-pay services are available for evaluations and therapy. Please contact us for pricing and payment details.

Can you provide a superbill? ​

  • Yes. We are happy to provide a superbill if your insurance requires it for reimbursement; however, reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan and is not guaranteed.

Do you accept interns or clinical fellows completing their CFY? ​

  • Yes. We offer internship and clinical fellowship opportunities when qualified supervisors and placements are available. Interns and clinical fellows on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for current availability and requirements.
